Carolyn Sue Thomas Lindsey

A memorial service for Carolyn Sue Thomas Lindsey will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Columbia Presbyterian Church. She died Tuesday of heart problems in a Vancouver hospital. She was 54.

Private burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.

A native of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Lindsey had lived in Vancouver since 1976. She had worked as a receptionist for the Morse & Bratt law firm in Vancouver. She was born on Oct. 10, 1935. Mrs. Lindsey also was a volunteer for the Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver.

Surviving Mrs. Lindsey are her parents, Ione and Fred Hyde [sic, step-father] of Thousand Palms, Calif.; sons, Jack T. and Scott W., both of Vancouver; daughters, Sandi L. and Candi Sue Hughes of Monmouth, Ore.; brother, Walter Thomas of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mrs. Lindsey's husband, Jack F., died in 1978.

The family suggests remembrances be contributions to either the American Heart Association, 120 Tacoma Ave. North, Tacoma 98403, or Columbia Presbyterian Church, 805 S. Columbia Ridge Drive, Vancouver 98664.
