Dr. Daniel Russell

LEEDS -
Dr. Daniel Frank Davis Russell, 96, died Wednesday night at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1879 in Leeds, the son of Alonzo C. and Mary Richardson Russell.

He attended Leeds schools, and he was a 1901 graduate of Leavitt Institute and 1905 graduate of Bowdoin College Medical School. He interned at Central Maine General Hospital in Lewiston and Diagnostician Hospital Boston. He received his 70th year Maine Medical Association pin this year, the second physician to receive the award. He practiced in Leeds and surrounding communities until shortly before his death.

He married Alice Lindsay in 1907. She died in 1946. He was 'the town clerk of Leeds for 25 years and director of the Lewiston. Greene and Monmouth telephone company for many years. He was a Golden Sheaf member of the Leeds Grange, a member of Asylum Lodge AF and AM. Wayne, and a member of the Androscoggin County, state and American medical associations. He is survived by one niece, Mrs Eula Carville. Leeds

Funeral services will he held at 2 p m Friday at Main Street. Monmouth Burial will be in the Leeds Center Cemetery.

RUSSELL. Dr Daniel Frank Davis died Wednesday. Friends may call Thursday at the Brandon Flanders Funeral Home. Monmouth at 2 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, those who wish .may make a contribution in his memory to the regional health program in care of Arthur Griffiths, Monmouth.
