JOYCE L. ARCHER
TOPSFIELD -- Joyce L. Archer, 69, died Sept. 14, 1997, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 7, 1928, at Carroll, the daughter of Alvin and Gertrude (Elsemore) Lindsay. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a C.N.A. at Calais Regional Hospital for 10 years.
Survivors include three sons, Roddie McLellan of Merrill, Randal and Jay McLelland, both of Topsfield; four daughters, Ronnie Daggett of Falmouth, Connie Mendonca of Sinclair, Cheryl Strid of Greenville and Kim Khiel of Calais; three brothers, Alvin Lindsay, Jr. of Lincoln, Jerry Lindsay of Springfield, and George Lindsay of Bangor; four sisters, Bernice Averill of Springfield, Gladys Camposaulis of N.Y., Lillian Fielder of N.Y., and Charlotte Ireland of California; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Roy Hurlburt, 10 a.m. Saturday at New Topsfield Cemetery. At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours and donations in her memory to the Maine Chapter of Alzheimer's Disease, 86 Pleasant Hill Road, Scarborough 04074 would be greatly appreciated.
