William Hunter Mosher, 59, of Vallejo, California, a former resident of Auburn, died Friday in a California hospital following a lingering illness.
Born May 31, 1915, at Wilton, the son of Chester and Blanche Martin Mosher, he attended Leavitt Institute in Turner and lived in Leeds and later in Auburn until eight years ago when he moved to California.
He was a member of the Blue Lodge of Masons and of the Salvation Army in California.
Survivors include his wife, Rowena, in California; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Geraldine) Mahoney of Methuen, Mass. and Mrs. Robert (Joanne) Valliere of Lewiston; two sons, Gerald of Minot and Thomas of Auburn; a sister, Mrs. Ada Berry of Lewiston; two brothers, James of Monmouth and Donald of Auburn; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be held in California while a memorial service will be held here at a late date.
