JAMES TUNNEY

WINTHROP -- James W. Tunney, 71, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his High St. home.

Born in Turner, March 20, 1893, he was the son of Thomas and Mary Hart Tunney. He was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in the class of 1915 and was a member of the Winthrop Congregational Church where he was a deacon emeritus.

Surviving are his widow, Rebecca Lindsey Tunney; and a brother Thomas F. Buckfield.

DIED -- At Winthrop, May 26, James W. Tunney. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Roberts Funeral Home, 32 Bowdoin Street. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 4 to 9 p.m.
