George Nelson Carey

George Nelson Carey, 76, Englewood, died Feb. 24, 1998.

He was born July 5, 1921, in Bucksport, Maine, and came to Englewood in 1996 from Montana. He was a retired paint salesman. He was a Mason in Bigfork, Mont., a Royal Arch Mason and a member of the AlMalaikah Shrine, both in Oxnard, Calif. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lois R.; a daughter, Berneice Spencer of Ventura, Calif.; two brothers, Herbert W. of Orland, Maine, and Richard C. of Englewood; a sister, Eunice Royal of Peoria, Ariz.; and a grandson.

There will be no local services. Farley Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel, is in charge.
