Bernice F. "Neni" Averill

PRENTISS -- Bernice F. "Neni" Averill, 52, died July 24, 1990, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born in Prentiss, Sept. 18, 1937, the daughter of Ollie and Frances (Monroe) Worcester.

She is survived by her husband, Ira Ralph Averill; three sons, Brent Averill, Ira Ralph Averill, Scott Averill, all of Prentiss; one daughter, Glenda Shorey of Burlington; six grandchildren, Adrienne Janel Averill, Jill Marie DeLaite, Julie Ann DeLaite, Derek Wayne Averill, Joshua Allen Averill and Alexandria Lyn Averill; her mother, Frances Worcester of Lincoln; one brother, Reginald Worcester of Clinton; one sister, Betty Davis of Winn; mother-in-law Bernice L. Averill of Prentiss; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clay, Stevens & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Duane Waite officiating. Interment will be in Belden Cemetery, Prentiss. Friends who wish may donate to a scholarship in her memory at Lee Academy. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
