MATTIE MAYFAIR MACLEOD

BAR HARBOR AND BANGOR -- Mattie M. McLeod, 85, died Jan. 29, 1981, at a local nursing home. She was born June 9, 1895, in Olamon, daughter of Calvin Nelson and Ada Viola (Ayers) Cary. She is survived by two sons, Ernest E. Howard of New York, N.Y.; Calvin N. Howard of Dearborn, Mich.; two grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the McFarland Funeral Home, Bar Harbor, with the Rev. Dennis Reeves officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Spring burial will be in the Howland Cemetery, Howland.
