MARY JANE ROBINSON
HOWLAND -- Mary Jane Robinson, 79, died May 23 at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Passadumkeag July 25, 1897, daughter of Fred and Viola (Ayers) Carey. She was a member of the Howland Baptist Church. Survived by three sons, Carroll Robinson of Howland, Weston Robinson of Snohomish, Washington, Ronald Merrill of Howland; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Sawyer of Howland, one sister, Mrs. Mattie McLeod of Bangor, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 1 p.m. at the Barton Funeral Home, Lincoln, Rev. Clayton Crocker officiating. Burial will be in the Howland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
NOTE: Ronald E. Merrill was the biological son of Perely Merrill and Thelma Robinson -- Thelma being the daughter of Mary Jane Robinson. Ronald was later adopted by his grandparents (Edwin & Mary Jane Robinson).
