Joseph Stewart Lindsey

   Cause of his death was heart failure.

Mr. J.S. Lindsey was taken sick at his store in Del Rey last Thursday morning and was taken home in a buggy, and at noon feeling so much better he returned to the store and made up the mail for the noon train. About two o'clock he was again taken sick and was carried home and died in about an hour. His disease was heart failure. The funeral services were held in the Del Rey church at 10:30am and was b uried in the Onarga Cemetery.

J.S. Lindsey died suddenly Thursday afternoon, Jan. 24th, of heart disease. He has been postmaster here for more than thirty years and was loved by all. Funeral services were held at the church Sunday morning and the remains wer taken to Onarga for burial. Mrs. Lindsey and May have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. Mrs. Lindsey's brother from LaFayette, Ind., attended the funeral.
