Auburn Woman Dies At Her Home After Three Weeks' Illness

Mrs. Sophia B. Wills, widow of the late George E. Wills, died, Thursday afternoon, at her home, 66 Winter Street, Auburn, after having been confined to her bed the past three weeks. She was born in Leeds in 1866, the daughter of Julia and William Sumner.

Mrs. Wills died of a cerebral hemorrhage although afflicted the past several years with diabetes.

Affectionaly known to many friends as Aunt Ben, she will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Surviving are her only son, Ira E., of Auburn, her granddaughter, Virginia Louise Wills, a brother, Robert Sumner of Biddeford.

Mrs. Wills was a member of the Elm Street Universalist Church, the Ladies Circles, and the Ruth Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Wills came to Auburn 46 years ago from Leeds and after residing here a year married George E. Wills of Turner.
