GLORIA KAPLINGER WEDS MR. KENDALL
Colby Alumna Marries West Springfield Man in First Church, Longmeadow, Will Live in Amherst

Yesterday at noon, in First Church of Christ, Congregational, Longmeadow, Miss Gloria Kaplinger, daughter of Mrs. Harlan S. Kaplinger of Longmeadow St., Longmeadow, and the late Mr. Kaplinger, became the bride of Charles A. Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Donald Kendall of Craiwell Ave., West Springfield, Rev. Eugene M. Bushong, minister of the church, officiated using the single-ring service. Traditional wedding marches and other selections were played by the church organist, Miss Ruth A. Perry.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Douglas S. Kaplinger, wore a navy blue shantung suit, with blue and white accessories, and white orchid corsage. She was attended by Miss Nancy Kendall, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a gray summer suit, with white accessories, and corsage of sweetheart roses and blue delphinium. John Percival served as best man.

A luncheon for members of the immediate families followed at the Federal Hill Club, Agawam. After a motor trip to Canada, the couple will make their home in Amherst.

Mrs. Kendall is a graduate of Classical High School and Colby Junior College and recently completed her studies for her BS degree as medical technician at the New England Deaconess Hospital, Boston. Mr. Kendall was graduated from West Springfield High School and is a student at the University of Massachusetts.
