WAYNE MAN, 75, DIES SUDDENLY TWO DAYS AFTER BEING LOST IN WOODS
WAYNE -- Robert Sumner, 75, object of a three hour search, Thursday, when he got lost in the Beech Hill section, died suddenly Saturday afternoon.
While walking in the road near the home of Mrs. Mildred Merrill, where he lived, he was stricken with a heart attack and died immediately.
He was on a deer hunting expedition Thursday afternoon when he lost his bearings in the woods. A posse of 100 persons set out to find him. He was located about 7 o'clock but was reported in an exhausted condition. It was believed over exertion resulted in the death Saturday.
A former Mechanic in Livermore Falls, he had lived here in recent years. Reportedly, he has no survivors.
DIED -- In Wayne, Saturday, November 10, Robert W. Sumner. Funeral services will be held at the L.P. Brown Funeral Home, Livermore Falls Tuesday at 2 p.m. Public interment will be at Lothrop Cemetery, Leeds.
