STANLEY W. CROSSLEY
1913-2000

AUBURN -- Stanley W. Crossley, 87, formerly of the Allen Pond Road in Greene, died early Monday at the Clover Manor.

He was born in Auburn, Jan. 7, 1913, the son of Walter and Genella (Ayer) Crossley. Educated in Auburn schools, he was a graduate of Edward Little High School with the class of 1930.

He marrid the former Hazel Maguire on Dec. 8, 1934. Mrs. Crossley died on November 8, 1997. He was employed as a truck driver by National Yeast Company for 30 years then employed at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston for eight and a one half years.

He was a member of the Sixth Street Congregational Church in Auburn. He enjoyed walking, reading and wintering in Florida. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leo Janice Silvey of Kittery and Sandra Crossley of Turner; one son, Stephen of Lewiston; three granddaughters, Tiana and Kim Crossley and Kathy DeRosa; three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer DeRosa and Alajae Fortine.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Iva Durgin and Methyl Crossley; and five brothers, Elmer, Raymond, Thomas, Reginald and Walter.

CROSSLEY, Stanley 6/12/2000. Funeral in the funeral home Thursday 11:00 a.m. Burial Leeds Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sixth Street Congregational Church, 109 Sixth St., Aub., Me. 04210.
