KENNETH E. HANSCOM
LEE -- Kenneth E. Hanscom, 85, died Sept. 10, 1985 in Lincoln.
He was born in Lee, May 24, 1900, the son of Charles and Amy (Merrill) Hanscom.
He was predeceased by his wife, May (Thompson) Hanscom on Aug. 16, 1985. He was a barber in East Millinocket, Newport and Lincoln and also in later years in Lee. He was a framer in Lee for 20 years.
A life member of Forest Lodge No. 148 AF & AM of Springfield, a former member of Forest Grange No. 125 of Lee and a member of Pine Grove Chapter O.E.S. of Mattawamkeag.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth H. Hanscom and Raleigh W. Hanscom, both of Lincoln; one sister, Florence Dahlstrom of Norwell, Mass.; four grandchildren, Kenneth H. Hanscom, Jr. of Lincoln, Raleigh Wayne Hanscom, Jr. of Greenwich, Conn., Terry Lee Hanscom of Wrightstown, N.J. and Tina Howe of Nashville, Tenn.; six step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clay Stevens & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln with the Rev. Theodore Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee.
Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Masonic memorial services will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends who wish may donate in his memory to the Masonic KC Scholarship Fund, donations may be left at the funeral.
