Miss Eva Jordan of Auburn and Walter Davis of Bath were quietly married Saturday evening at the home of her parents by Rev. William Gould. They are spending their honeymoon at the White Mountains.

Eva B. Davis

Eva B. Davis, 87, of 271 Court St., Auburn, died Wednesday at Central Maine Medical Center, following a long illness.

Born at Turner, Sept. 12 1896, she was the daughter of Ernest and Emma Carver Jordan. She was educated in Turner schools and was married there July 30, 1921 to Walter Davis. He died at Greene Nov. 11, 1942.

For 17 years Mrs. Davis was employed at Bates Mfg. Co. of Lewiston as a folder and inspector. She was a member of the Auburn Senior Citizens.

Survivors include one son, Raymond O. of Greene; two sisters, Alice Hinkley and Rita Hendershot, both of Turner; three brothers, Carroll, Stanley and Leroy Jordan, all of Turner; one granddaughter, three great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Services for Mrs. Davis were held Saturday at the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham and Son. The Rev. Robert Walden officiated at the service. Inerment was at Pine Grove Cemetery in Norway. Bearers were Carroll Jordan, Stanley Jordan, Leroy Jordan, Dardey Bubier, Thomas Bubier and Kent Harrington.
