NORTH WATERFORD -- Mary E. (Pete) Henley, 83, died Sunday at Ledgeview Nursing Home in West Paris.
She was born at Groveton, N.H., Sept. 25, 1904, the daughter of Ira and Bessie Ells Harriman. She worked in local shoe shops, and also in the hatchery business. Mrs. Henley was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and belonged to the Norway Grange. She lived in the North Waterford area most of her life, and she married Berkeley G. Henley in 1925; he died in 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Davis of North Waterford and Jean McAllister of West Bethel; a son, Berkeley Henley of Oxford; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
HENLEY -- Died in West Paris, June 19, 1988, Mary (Pete) Henley, age 83, of North Waterford. At the request of the family there will be no funeral services. Interment will be in Narrows Cemetery, Lovell. Donations in Mrs. Henley's memory may be sent to Stoneham Rescue Unit, c/o Sonya Millett, North Waterford 04267. Arrangements under the direction of Raymond Funeral Home, 119 Main St., Norway.
