EVELYN I. CUMMINGS
WEST ENFIELD -- Evelyn I. Cummings, 93, wife of the late Julian Cummings, died Feb. 4, 1995, at a Lincoln nursing home.
She was born in Springfield, Nov. 2, 1901, the daughter of Orland and Sadie (Cole) Danforth.
She was a member of the West Enfield Baptist Church and a member of the Leveille-Shorey VFW Post Auxiliary, West Enfield.
She is survived by a son, Raleigh Cummings of Passadumkeag; a daughter, Ruth Gordon of Lincoln; four grandsons; eleven great-grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bernice Cummings; a brother, Blake Danforth; and a sister, Leah Fenner.
Friends may call from 3:30-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Clay Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffery Moody officiating. Spring interment will be in Enfield Village Cemetery. Friends who wish may donate in her memory to either the Activities Fund at Colonial Acres Nursing Home or the West Enfield Baptist Church. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
