BLAKE W. DANFORTH

LINCOLN -- Blake W. Danforth, 82, husband of the late Evelyn (Smith) Danforth, died Nov. 5, 1991, at a Lincoln hospital.

He was born in Springfield, May 19, 1909, the son of Charles Orland and Sadie (Cole) Danforth. He was a graduate of Howland High School and received a certificate from Winonna School of Photography. He owned and operated Danforth Studio in Lincoln for several years. As a young man, he was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper and always enjoyed the out-of-doors. He was a member of the Lincoln Congregational Church.

He is survived by two sons, Avern Danforth of Millinocket, Wayne Danforth of Medway; one daughter, Marilyn Sweet of Millinocket; one sister, Evelyn Cummings of Howland; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Clay, Stevens & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Theodore Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
