Rose M. Lindsey
Rose Marie (Bader) Lindsey, 84, of 50 Irwin St., died Sunday at the home of her daughter in Vista, Calif. She worked for Continental Baking Co. as manager of the Wonder Bread Thrift Store in Holyoke until she retired in 1978. Born in Holyoke, she lived in Chicopee for 82 years and graduated from Chicopee High School. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in the Fairview section and was active with various Parent Teacher Associations. She was a member of the Willimansett Heights Improvement League.
Her husband, Edward N. Lindsey, died in 1999.
She leaves five children from a previous marriage to Frank H. Miller of Holyoke: four sons, Douglas F. Miller and Gary R. Miller, both of Chicopee, Alan B. Miller of California, and Glen M. Miller of Clearwater, Fla., and a daughter, Maureen R. Guffanti of Vista, Calif.; a brother, Henry M. Bader of Holyoke; two sisters, Regina A. Newhauser of Longmeadow and Rita F. Wagner of Easthampton; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A graveside memorial service will be held in St. Jerome Cemetery in Holyoke at a later date. Dillon Funeral Home of Holyoke is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Western New England, P.O. Box 9058, Springfield, MA 01102-9058.
