Frances Jennings
Frances Jennings, 80, of Donald Street, died Thurs., Dec. 16, 2010 at Augusta Rehab.
She was born in Waterville, Jan. 9, 1930, the daughter of Howard and Maude Jennings.
She was a graduate of Waterville High School and attended hospital lab technician classes. She also attended World Wide Guild Girls and Sunday School and enjoyed youth groups at the Getchell St. United Baptist Church in Waterville of which she was a member of. Miss Jennings enjoyed telephoning friends. She was a self-taught oil painter on canvas. She loved reading poems, animals, especially cats, stuffed animals and her beloved dog ''Co-Co''. Miss Jennings went on trips with the Salvation Army. She had worked as a lab technician at Thayer Hospital in Waterville. She was a member of the Ticonic Street Social Club and was a loyal friend.
Survivors included her friend and caretaker Richard V. Willette, Sr., and friends, Myra Sinclair, Dot Doucette and Bernice Harrington.
Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at the Getchell Street United Baptist Church, 3 Getchell St., Waterville with Pastor Ron Corey officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tues., Dec. 21, 2010 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St., in Auburn.
