Ensign Ackley Is Married To Pamela Charlotte Hale
Miss Pamela Charlotte Hale and Ensign Ralph William Ackley, Jr., U.S.N., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Ackley of Groton, were married March 23 in the First Congregational Church of Wolfeboro, N.H.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hale of South Wolfeboro.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Gay Hale, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Deborah Ackley of Groton, sister of the bride groom, Miss Claire Desilets of South Yarmouth, Mass. and Miss Bonnie Fuller of Athens, Ohio, cousin of the bride.
Gerald O'Brien was best man. Guests were ushered by Alan Ackley of Groton, brother of the bridegroom; Stephen R. Hale and Robert G. Hale, Jr. of South Wolfeboro, the bride's brothers and Richard L. Spielrogel.
The reception followed at the General Wolfe Inn.
The bride was graduated from Brewster Academy, the Perry Normal School and Boston University. She is an elementary school teacher.
Her husband was graduated from New York Military Academy and Tufts University. He is attached to Nuclear Prototype in Windsor.
The Ackleys are living in Feeding Hills, Mass.

Rites are today for Ralph Ackley Jr.
CLEBURNE -- Ralph William Ackley Jr., project manager for the Comanche Peak nuclear power plant, was killed Thursday morning in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 67 west of Cleburne, in Johnson County.
Mr. Ackley, 43, was on his way to the plant in Glen Rose when his car and an eastbound pickup truck collided. Details of the accident were unavailable.
Services for Mr. Ackley will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel in Cleburne.
Mr. Ackley, a native of Groton, Conn., came to Cleburne in 1986 for Stone and Webster Engineering Corp. of Boston to take over as project manager at Comanche Peak. He had worked for Stone and Webster for 17 years and became a vice president in January.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Ackley of Cleburne; three daughters, Cristin Ackley, Vanessa Ackley and Elyse Ackley, all of Cleburne; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ackley Sr. of Groton, Conn.; a brother, Alan Ackley of Groton; and a sister, Deb Ackley of Mystic, Conn.
