MORRIS C. STAPLES
STETSON -- Morris C. Staples, 60, died July 18 in a local hospital.
He was born at Carroll, May 22, 1914, son of Paul and Myrtle (Thibodeau) Staples. He was a machinist by trade and worked at the Ski Land Mill, Clinton and also worked many years for Wight's Sporting Goods as credit manager. He was a member of Hirram Lodge 180 of Portland, the Scottish Rites of Bangor, the Maine Consistory of Portland, and the Corner Stone Chapter 193, O.E.S., Portland.
He is survived by his widow, Thelma (MacLeod) Staples of Stetson; one son, Ronald K. also of Stetson; a brother, Blaine of Portland; three uncles, Paul, Ralph and Vaughn Thibodeau of Bangor, Brewer and Ellsworth respectively; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., Clark Mitchell Funeral Home, 299 Union St., Bangor. Friends may call Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening.
