Patrick J. Cahill, 43, victim of automobile accident
WORCESTER -- Patrick J. Cahill, 43, of 80 Beverly Road, died Wednesday, May 22, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident that afternoon in Shrewsbury.
He leaves a son, John J. Cahill of Middlefield, Conn.; two brothers, William F. Cahill of Dennis and Paul E. Cahill of Worcester; four sisters, Mary Anne O'Connell of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jane C. Lisauskas of Wrentham, and Elizabeth P. and Maggie Cahill, both of Boston; nieces and nephews.
He was born in Albany, N.Y., son of John F. and Mary V. (Carroll) Cahill. He graduated in 1977 from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury.
Mr. Cahill worked many years at Wright Line Inc., and was also a bartender in area restaurants for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. George's Church, where he was a longtime volunteer, and a member of the Indian Hill Fire Memorial Committee. He was an avid sports fan, and played the harmonica and sang in blues music bands.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 28, from Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George's Church, 38 Brattle St. Burial is in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 27, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indian Hill John J. Cahill Education Fund, Leominster Credit Union, 715 Main St., Holden, MA 01520.
