PORTLAND -- Roscoe S. Jones, 67, of 134 Colonial Rd., died Monday in a Portland nursing home after a long illness.
He was born in Stratton [sic], March 12, 1907, son of Elver and Eva Guinard Jones. Mr. Jones was a longtime employee of City Service Oil Co. and a member of the Mt. Bigelow Lodge of Masons.
He is survived by his widow, the former Dorothy Wing; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Janis Crockett, Augusta, and Miss Joan Stevenson, Watertown, Mass.; three sisters, Mrs. Rita Mickus, South Portland, Mrs. Alice Scribner, Stratton, and Mrs. Helen Morris, Owego, N.Y.
Roscoe married Dorothy Elizabeth Wing, daughter of Capt. Clifford E. Wing and Charlotte P.
