Arthur Tucker
Arthur S. Tucker, 91, of Manchester, died at the Community Hospice House, in Merrimack, on January 19, 2008.
Mr. Tucker was born in Sanford, ME, on January 9, 1917, the son of John V. and Stella (Carlton) Tucker. He was a member of the South Main Street Congregational Church for many years, serving as church treasurer, a Deacon, and Sunday school teacher. He also participated in the choir and bowling league.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Washington Lodge #61 F. & A.M. of Manchester, NH. He retired from the Manchester Federal Savings and Loan in 1979.
Arthur, an avid reader, enjoyed U.S. history, was very proud of his Maine roots, and was happiest when spending time with his family.
Members of his family include: Erma, his wife of 67 years; a daughter, Bonnie R. Lynn, of Manchester, NH; a son, William C. Tucker, of Goffstown, NH; and a granddaughter, Abby Tucker, of Bedford, NH.
