FRANKLIN LARRABEE
BUCKSPORT -- Franklin Larrabee, 74, died at his residence in Bucksport Jan. 31, 1981.
He was born in Kineo Aug. 5, 1906, son of J. Asa and Caroline (Higgins) Larrabee. Following graduation from the University of Maine in 1930, Mr. Larrabee and his parents operated a sporting camp for several years at Camp Caribou on Moosehead Lake. Before his retirement in 1971, he devoted 24 years to St. Regis Paper Co. staff work in the woodland's accounting, personnel and safety work, with the last several years devoted to public relations.
He is survived by his wife, Vera H. Larrabee of Bucksport; two sons, John of Phoenix, Ariz. and David of Belfast; a grandson; a granddaughter. Memorial services will be announced at a later date by the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, Bucksport.
