JOHN WARREN HOLLANDER
A memorial service for John ''Jack'' Warren Hollander of Portland will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
Disposition will be by cremation with interment in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Mr. Hollander died of cancer Sunday at a son's home in Portland. He was 73.
He was born Jan. 28, 1919, in St. Cloud, Minn. Mr. Hollander married Marguerite Smitten on June 14, 1942, in St. Cloud. They moved to Portland in 1961. He was a regional sales manager for Streater Store Fixtures from the mid-1950s until he retired in 1984.
Mr. Hollander served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was on the USS Nevada when Pearl Harbor was bombed.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
Survivors besides his wife include his sons, Bart of San Jose, Calif., Bruce of Las Vegas, Nev. and Brian of Portland; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or American Cancer Society.
