David C. Busch
Services are private for David C. Busch, who died March 22 in Santa Cruz after a long illness. He was 74.
Born in Cleveland, Mr. Busch lived in Santa Cruz for 21 years. He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in Ohio and served in the Korean War as a corporal in the U.S. Army, receiving the Bronze Star.
He spent his life working as an auto mechanic, and owned The Coach and Carriage, an auto body and repair shop in Cleveland. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and fine carpentry.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dovre "Duffy" Hall Busch of Santa Cruz; daughters Allison Busch of Arkansas, Laura Lev of Ohio and Dana Busch Milam of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
His family will scatter his ashes in the Monterey Bay.
Donations are preferred to a local Salvation Army or Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
