Charles Edwin "Chick" Swift
Charles Edwin "Chick" Swift, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, in his home after a lingering illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jones-Eden Funeral Home, Washington, by the Rev. Richard Boyd. Burial: Elm Grove Cemetery, with military honors. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 9 to 11 a.m.
Survivors include six sons, Jay of Olathe, Kan., Jim of Hudson, Wis., Tim and Tracy, both of Washington, Iowa, Dana of Seattle and Joe of St. Louis; a daughter, Sheila Drish of Brighton; three brothers, Lawrence, Marion and Bill, all of Washington; and five sisters, Jean Fritz, Edith Wellington and Annette Chalupa, all of Washington, Iowa, Wanda Fritz of Pleasant Plain and Martha Hawkins of Tipton.
