M. LETA THOMPSON

ENFIELD - M. Leta Thompson, 78, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at a local health care facility. She was born April 22, 1923, in Lincoln, the daughter of Walter and Lila (Gulliver) Archer.

Leta had many interests in life, but most importantly, her love of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and of Endless Lake.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Benner and her husband, Stephen of Florida; her son, David Pease, of Enfield; grandchildren, Lisa Libby and friend, Arthur Grant of Augusta, Leiah Priest and her husband, Scott and son, Jarrett of Bangor, and Jae Libby-Folster, and her husband, Jeff and son, Jaeden of Enfield; brother, Herman Archer of Crystal; sister, Evelyn Page of Lincoln, several nieces, nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Searle W. Thompson; her parents; three brothers, Homer, Lester and Edward; two sisters, Georganna Coney and Flora Archer.

Friends and family who wish to celebrate her life are asked to stop by the Thompson home in Enfield, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2002. Those who wish to remember Leta in a special way may contribute to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1896, Bangor, 04402-1896.

M. married Searle W. Thompson, son of Frank Harold Thompson and Alice Lura Thomas. (Searle W. Thompson was born 18 May 1918 in Lincoln, Penobscot County, Maine ²⁷² and died 16 March 1994 in Enfield, Penobscot County, Maine ⁵²⁷⁹.)
