Cedar City- Edith C. Monroe- Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, returned to the loving arms of her father in heaven on July 21, 2008.
Edith was born September 1, 1920 in Ray, AZ. to Harry G. Beck and Gertrude H. Street. Edith has been married to Philip L. Monroe for 69 years.
Edith is survived by her husband: Philip L. Monroe of Cedar City. Children: Ron Monroe of Cedar City. Gail (Barry) Gunderson of Cedar City. Grandchildren: Brad (Collette) Gunderson of Spanish Fork, Vicky (Russel) Smith of Cedar City, Doug Gunderson, Brian Tyson of Cedar City. Great Grandchildren: Larissa Smith, Jessica (Colby) Meier, Blake Smith, Jason Dushesne and Briana Overocker.
Edith Monroe was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many capacities.
