Mrs. Alice Millett

SOUTH PARIS - Mrs. Alice L. Millett, 69, of 68 Gary St., died Friday at the CMG Hospital.

She was born at Quicksand, Ky., Feb. 13, 1904, the daughter of Henry and Clerendie Clemens Back. Mrs. Millett was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Rebekah Lodge, South Paris, and had resided here for the past three years, coming from Norway where she had lived for 50 years. She was married to Roy I. Millett in April of 1929. He died Aug. 25, 1953.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Virginia Stickney, Concord, N.H., Mrs. Kathleen Kennegh, Bethel, Mrs. Mildred Whitter, Peoria, Ariz., Mrs. Lucille Lombard, Oxford and Mrs. Mary Larson, Norway; six sons, Raymond H. of Norway, Ralph L. of U.S. Army, stationed in Okinawa, Charlie F. of Mechanic Falls, William A. of Auburn, Donald W. of Oxford, and Harry Bell of California; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Bell, West Palm Beach, Fla.; 35 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

MILLETT - In Lewiston, March 23, Mrs. Alice L. Millett, age 69, of 68 Gary Street, South Paris, formerly of Norway. Funeral services will be held at the J W Raymond & Son Funeral Home, 119 Main Street, Norway, at a time to be announced later. Rev. J.N. Letto will officiate. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn, later in the spring. Visiting hours at the funeral home Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
