Robert Ham
Naples, Fla. - Robert D. Ham, 81, of Naples, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005.
Mr. Ham had been a resident of Naples and Estero since 1990, moving from Groton.
He was born May 24, 1923, in Springfield, Maine, a son of the late Raymond and Ora (Lindsay) Ham. He graduated from the University of Maine with his degree in civil engineering.
He worked as a civil engineer for the U.S. Navy for 39 years. Bob was an avid square dancer for over 30 years and was a member of the Christus Victor Lutheran Church, where he was very active in various activities.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Florence B. Ham, of Naples, Fla.; a son, James P. Ham, of Franklin, Mass.; a daughter, Barbara H. Dee, of Portland, Maine; and three grandsons, Robert Dee, Jeffery Dee and Kevin Ham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Eric and Philip Ham and Clifford Budge, and one sister, Helen Quinn.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Christus Victor Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Slater, Pastor, officiating.
Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
