SPRINGFIELD - Eric R. Ham, 78, husband of the late Eula (Averill) Ham, died April 10, 1987, at a Lincoln hospital.
He was born in Springfield Feb. 22, 1909, the son of Raymond and Lula (Lombard) Ham. He was educated in Springfield schools and attended the University of Maine. He was self-employed and also worked on projects for the University of Maine.
He is survived by one son, C.M. Sgt. Rodney Ham of Hickham Air Force Base, Hawaii; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Joanne) Speed of Princeton; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert D. Ham of Groton, Conn.; a step-brother, Clifford Budge of Lincoln; one step-sister, Helen Quinn of Reading, Mass.; his step-mother Pluma Ham of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Philip Ham.
Graveside services at the Mills Cemetery, Springfield, will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate in his memory to a scholarship fund at Lee Academy, Lee 04455.
