LIONEL PAUL GREY
ENFIELD - Lionel Paul Grey, 84, died peacefully in his home, Aug. 19, 1994.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Helen and daughter, Aldana Ruth Grey.
Born in Houlton, Nov. 23, 1909, he was the adopted son of Elbridge and Daisy Grey in Enfield. He graduated from Mattanawcook Academy, Lincoln, and in 1931 from the University of Maine at Farmington. Known as the "Butterfly Man of Enfield", he was a lifelong member of the Lepidoptera Society. His collection of approximately 80,000 specimans now resides in the American Museum of Natural History, New York.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Budge of Racho Cordova, Calif.; two sons, Stephen of Enfield and Prescott of Salisbury, Mass.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, at South Lincoln Cemetery.
