HERMON and BREWER - Philip Maynard Thompson, 62, left us unexpectedly Nov. 29, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1943, in Caribou, the son of Woodie Thompson and Ruth (Miller) Thompson Pendleton.
Philip was a graduate of Hermon High School and worked for many years as production manager at WLBZ-TV Channel 2, Bangor. In more recent years, he operated Bangor Outdoor Power Equipment and at the time of his death was the owner/operator of the Brewer Redemption Center. He was the current noble grand and past noble grand of the IOOF Trimph Lodge No. 119 of Hermon and a member of the FOE Nov. 3177 Brewer.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah (Bolster) Thompson of Hermon; one daughter, Laurie S. Bridge and her husband, Brent, of Hermon; a son, Dale P. Thompson and his wife, Jenna, of Milford; "Papa's" two grandsons, Dylan and Austin; one brother, Freddie Thompson, and his wife, Gail, of Naples, Fla.; one sister, Mary Hugoniot and her husband, Gene, of Seminole, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Brookings-Smith, Clark Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where an IOOF memorial service will be held 5:30 p.m. conducted by the officers and members of Triumph Lodge No. 119 of Hermon. Gifts in his memory may be made to the memorial fund of Triumph Lodge No. 119 IOOF of Hermon, care of Alan Pinkham, secretary, 634 Pine Tree Rd., Hermon, ME 04401 or to a charity of one's choice.
