Eileen Sughroue Plans May Wedding
To William A. Lindse of Freeport

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sughroue, 4341 West State Street, are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Eileen, to William A. Lindsey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindsey of Freeport.

The marriage will take place on Saturday, May 25, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Norbert Richter will officiate at the ceremony.

Eileen is a 1940 graduate Muldoon High School. She is employed in the bookkeeping deparment of the Third National Bank. She studies for a year at Siena Heights College, Adrian, Mich., where she was active in dramatics, and was formerly an employee of the Micro Switch Corp. in Freeport.

Bill, who attended Freeport schools, enlisted in the Navy in 1943, and served for 20 months overseas in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Discharged in December, he is now employed by the Excelsior Leather Washer Manufacturing company here.

William A., 62, 511 N. Church St., died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 1987, in his home after a long illness.

Born Sept. 26, 1924 in Freeport, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindsey. Lived most of his life in Rockford. Formerly married to Eileen Sughroue 1946. Formerly engaged in sales for Schoening Paint Co. and later maintenance engineer for Rockford public schools. World War II veteran of the Navy. Member Catholic faith. Graduated from Freeport High School.

Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Crossno, Marie and Dawn Lindsey, all Rockford, and Jacqueline Fox, Berrien Springs, Mich.; two sons, Paul and Francis, both Rockford; and numerous grandchildren.

Graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, in Calvary Cemetery, with the Rev. James Murphy, pastor of St. Edward Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements by Long Klontz Funeral Home, Court Street at Park Avenue. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, with rosary said at 7:30 p.m.
