MRS. DORA L. SMITTEN


Mrs. Dora Smitten of Sartell, died Thursday morning. She was born June 4, 1873 in Carroll, Maine and moved with her parents as a child to the Winnibego addition area Sartell.

She was married to Winslow Sartell who preceded her in death in Jan. [sic] 1903. Later she married Abe Smitten who preceded her in death in 1934. Two sons, Harry and Louis Sartell, also preceded her in death.

Surviving children are: Mrs. Henry Haywood (Alice), Sauk Rapids; Edwin Sartell, Sartell; Mrs. A.K. Campbell (Mira), St. Cloud; Clarence Smitten, Sartell; Louis Smitten, Minneapolis; Maurice Smitten, Milwaukee, Wis.; Eugene Smitten, St. Cloud; Harvey Smitten, Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. H.W. Hollander (Margurite), Salinas, Calif.

There are 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

One sister, Mrs. Lucy Gregory, Anoka, also survives.

Mrs. Smitten was a charter member of the Sartell Presbyterian Church; member of Willing Workers of the church, and Crescent Chapter 5 OES.

The famiy prefers memorial to the Sartell Presbyterian Church.

Friends may call at the Ross-Veeser Funeral Home until noon Saturday when the body will be taken to the Sartell Presbyterian Church to lie in state until the funeral hour, 2 p.m.

Burial will be made in North Star Cemetery.
