LLOYD G. MONROE

LINCOLN - Lloyd G. Monroe, 73, died in a Portland hospital March 23.

He was born in Carroll, Jan. 9, 1903, the son of Guy and Jennie (Lindsay) Monroe. He owned a grocery store in Mattawamkeag and was employed at North End Market in Lincoln for 15 years, retiring in 1965.

He is survived by five sons; Herbert, Kenneth and Carroll, all of Lincoln, Robert of Guilford, Donald of California; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Ham of Springfield, Mrs. Frances Worcester of Florida; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced. Friends may call at the Clay Funeral Home, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to and 7 to 9 p.m.
