GEORGE CANWELL

MONMOUTH - George Canwell, 78-year-old farmer and a lifelong resident of Monmouth, died Friday at his home in North Monmouth.

Born in Monmouth in 1872, he was the son of William and Allura Bishop Canwell.

He was a member of Monmouth Lodge 110. F. and A.M.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary A. Canwell, Monmouth; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Buckley, Leeds; and Mrs. Geneva Mims, North Monmouth; two sons, Clyde and Clifton, both of Monmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Hammond, North Livermore; and Mrs. Mabel Turner, North Monmouth; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

DIED - At North Monmouth, Oct. 27, George Canwell. Funeral services will be held Monday from his late home, North Monmouth at 2 p.m. Interment Monmouth Ridge Cemetery.
