CORA L. THOMPSON (SCOTT) (VAN SICKLE) BYERS

LINCOLN -- Cora L. Thompson (Scott) (Van Sickle) Byers, 69, died March 17, 1980 at a Lincoln hospital. She was born in Lee, May 3, 1910, the daughter of Carl and Grace (Cook) Thompson.

She was a member of the Lincoln Chapter No. 112, O.E.S. She worked as a nurse for 40 years in Bangor, Portland and Lincoln.

She is survived by one son, Richard Van Sickle of Fort Lee, Va.; one daughter, Diana Johnston of Lincoln; six sisters, Pearl Stetson of Kenduskeag, Mae Hanscom of Lee, Leola Langford of Long Island, N.Y., Etta Lowell of Waterville, Irma Potter of Lincoln, Grace Tinkham of Monmouth; five grandchildren.

There will be no services. Friends who wish may donate in her memory to the heart fund or cancer fund. Arrangements by Clay Funeral Home.
