Frances E. Bean

MILFORD -- Frances E. Bean, 68, wife of the late Blaine Bean, died Dec. 28, 1998 at her residence. She was born March 5, 1930 in Milford, a daughter of Erold Sr. and Hazel (Dudley) Madden.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Orono and she enjoyed camping and the outdoors with her husband.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Cormier and her husband Robert, and Sharon Cole, all of Milford; a son Frank Bean and his wife, Alvina of Cardville; two sisters, Marjorie St. Peter and her husband Randolph of Old Town, and Pauline Brown of Danvers, Mass.; a brother, Erold Madden Jr. and his wife Beverly of Florida; three sisters-in-law, Eleanor Wardwell and her husband, Fred of Westbrook, Elaine Brown of Frankfort, and Bertha O'Brien of Scarborough; six grandchildren, Jeremy Bean and his fiancee Brandee Toothaker, Tori Bean, Amanda Cole, Roger Cole Jr., Scott Cormier, and Aimee Cormier; a special friend, Edie Stanwood and her husband Arnold; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Blaine in 1991.

Friends are invited to call 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 287 South Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town. For those who wish, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 52 Federal St., Brunswick 04011.
