MONMOUTH - Mrs. Florence Webster Nichols, 81, died late Tuesday night at CMG Hospital after a short illness.
Born March 8, 1888 in Wales, she was the daughter of Charles A. and Jennie McKenney Webster. She was educated in Wales and attended Deering High School in Portland. She taught school in Wales until her marriage to Guy Nichols in 1908. Mr. Nichols died in 1949. She was a member of Monmouth Grange. She was a bookkeeper at the Maine Sand and Gravel in Leeds until her retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alverna Reynolds, Winthrop, Mass. and Mrs. Eleanor Edwards, Monmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Rudman, Monmouth, Mrs. Gladys Rideout, Moodus, Conn.; three brothers, Stanley of Leeds Junction, Albert of Auburn, Clinton of Cramford, N.J.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
DIED - In Lewiston, Feb. 3, 1970, Florence W. Nichols, age 81. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bragdon and Flanders Funeral Home, where friends may call Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment Ridge Cemetery, Monmouth.
