Eleanor N. Edwards

MONMOUTH - Mrs. Eleanor N. Edwards, 61, died Wednesday at the Augusta General Hospital following a short illness.

Born at Leeds Nov. 4, 1910, she was the daughter of Guy and Florence Webster Nichols. She was educated in Monmouth and was graduated from Farmington Norman School and the University of Maine. In 1930 she was married to Norman Edwards who died in 1946. Mrs. Edwards taught school at Middledam, Monmouth, Lewiston and Winthrop. She was a member of the Boynton Chapter, OES; United Church; Maine Teachers Association; National Teachers Association; and the Winthrop Education Association.

Survivors include two sons, Lehan of this town and Guy W. of Wales; a sister, Mrs. Alverna Reynolds of this town; and five grandchildren.

DIED - In Augusta, August 23, Eleanor N. Edwards, age 61. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Bragdon Flanders Funeral Home, Monmouth, where friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a contribution to the Capitol Area Association for Children with Learning Disability, c/o Doris Poole, Monmouth. Interment Ridge Cemetery, Monmouth.
