Mrs. Clinton Smith
GREENE - Mrs. Dorothy Frost Smith died this morning at CMG hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Wales, June 3, 1895, daughter of Fred and Carrie Fogg Frost. She was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1914. She taught school in Monmouth for a number of years. In 1915, she was married at Monmouth to Clinton Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of the East Monmouth Ladies Auxiliary and the East Monmouth Methodist Church, and also of the Women's Extension Group at Greene.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Carrie Frost of Greene; seven sons, Robert of Monmouth; Raymond, Fred, Milton and Kenneth of Greene; Roland of East Livermore and Ralph of Kittery; four daughters, Mrs. Alberta Tapley of Mexico, Mrs. Constance Buckley of Leeds, Mrs. Frances McCabe of Plansville, Conn. and Mrs. Amber McCabe of East Livermore; 32 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two uncles and four aunts.
DIED - GREENE - Mrs. Dorothy Frost Smith, 70, died Tuesday, Oct. 26 at the Central Maine General Hospital in Lewiston. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bragdon and Flanders Funeral Home in Monmouth where friends may call on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Interment will be at the Ridge Cemetery in Monmouth.
