BENJAMIN L. NASON
HOWLAND - Benjamin L. Nason, 77, died Dec. 20, 1985, at his home. He was born in Howland, Oct. 15, 1908, the son of William R. and Ida M. (Crocker) Nason.
He was a former licensed Maine Guide who enjoyed hunting and trapping in his earlier days. He retired in 1971 from the Lincoln Pulp and Paper Co.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Althea (Lancester) Nason of Howland; three daughters, Ardis Ireland of Chester, Ida Griffin of Howland and Dail Crommett of Passadumkeag; one son, William Nason of Passadumkeag; one brother, Robert Nason; one sister, Leola Walsh, both of Howland; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at the Clay, Stevens & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln with the Rev. Clayton Crocker officiating. Spring burial will be in Howland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
