WALTER V. MONROE
SAN DIMAS, CALIF. - Walter V. Monroe, 49, died of a heart attack while at work in Pasadena, June 27.
He was born in Garland, Maine, Feb. 14, 1927, the son of Wilbur W. and Sadie (Lindsay) Monroe. He had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, Jerily Monroe; mother, Sadie L. Monroe, Temple City, Calif.; six sisters, Mrs. Morrison (Evelyn) Foster, North Windham, Maine, Mrs. Louise Timmons, West Covina, Calif., Mrs. Warren (Sona) Davis, Arcadia, Calif.; Miss Ora G. Monroe, Temple City, Calif.; Mrs. Raymond (Phyllis) Settlas, Turner, Ore., Mrs. Virginia Ried, Ventura, Calif.; and three brothers, Philip L., Azusa, Calif., George D., Garland, and Roger W., Glendora, Calif., several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Rose Hills Memorial Park, Hillside Chapel, 3900 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, Calif. Burial will be at the Rose Hills Memorial Park.
