Lincoln, Ill., Dec. 5 -- Henry W. Kinert and Miss Catherine Lindsey, both of Clinton, came to this city this morning and at 11 o'clock were married in the office of Justice W. H. Derby, who presided. They returned to Clinton where they will reside.

Ex-coach's mother dies in Freeport

FREEPORT -- Mrs. Kate Kinert, 81, 15 1/2 E. Spring St., died Saturday in Freeport Memorial Hospital.

Her son, Harry, was basketball coach at Freeport High School in 1951 when the team won the state championship.

She is also survived by one brother, Charles Lindsey, Freeport; two grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Walker Mortuary.

Mrs. Kate L. Kinert

FREEPORT -- Services for Mrs. Kate L. Kinert, 82, 15 1/2 E. Spring St., who died Saturday in Freeport Memorial Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the mortuary.

Mrs. Kinert was the mother of the late Harry Kinert who coached Freeport High School to the state basketball championship in 1951. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the New York Hotel on E. Main Street and the Horseshoe Restaurant on N. Chicago Ave.
