SHELDON R. BISHOP
Sheldon R. Bishop, 76, of 5364 W. Taft Road, North Syracuse, and Florida, died Saturday in Sebastian, Fla.
Mr. Bishop was born in Bangor, Maine. He was a graduate of Tufts University. He retired in 1973 after 19 years in the Heavy Military Division of General Electric Co.
He was a member of Andrews Memorial United Methodist Church, Centerville Masonic Lodge 648, of which he was Master in 1969, and was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies Tigris Shrine.
In 1973, Mr. Bishop was District Deputy Grand Master of the First Onondaga Masonic District.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Oliver Bishop; a son, Richard P. of Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Patricia Zayas of LaCrescents, Calif., and Jeanne Struck of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Mona Bishop of Quincy, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens , DeWitt.
